WHAT I HAVE BEEN EATING LATELY
THE ADS ON THIS PAGE ARE NOT AFFILIATED WITH THE MESSAGE AND CONTENT OF THIS WEBSITE. BE VEGAN, peace.
I cater myself up to a COMBINATION of "raw and cooked" no animal product type foods. I wish I had better knowledge, and strength to make more, however I do not currently... and I only have access to a STOVE TOP. (I hope I can get an OVEN one day soon that is CLEAN, clean as in NO ANIMAL PRODUCTS or questionable items like YEAST ADDITIVES being cooked off in such.) I dream of BLUEBERRY PIES, PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES and CHOCOLATE CAKE.
For the most part I eat what is labeled organic lately(it's a long story)...
I eat SOME OIL and SOME SALT, trying to reduce and moreover eliminate salt.
I do not eat Bacteria-additives(xantham/n ) or YEAST additives
THE BREAD I USE is YEAST FREE BREAD ...

SOME possible issues WITH THE LABEL INDUSTRY :
For example: Vinegar, Citric acid, oil ~ The PROCESSES MAY VARY as to how the end-product is obtained. The label usually does not tell you what took place in "getting there" and it's often difficult and time consuming to try to track down the information. Perhaps one day this type of information can be posted on WEBSITES or something.
OTHER ISSUES with Labeling Guidelines : When you read "purified water" on a label it does not necessarily mean the water itself is pure, it means they ran it thru a purifier that meets at least the MINUMUM REQUIRED SPECIFICATIONS. (this can sometimes be misleading to consumers)
A label saying "vitamin C" does not really tell you that much ~ how is it derived?
Sometimes PROCESSES that the end product which is labeled on the package goes thru, involves certain types of BACTERIA or other less desired steps.
Here is something to consider: Because there is no real STANDARD/definition for "vegan" from the government agency as to say... you can basically stamp "VEGAN" on any product what so ever... Is this TRUE??
WHAT IS ORGANIC? What about CHEMICALLY TREATED MUNICIPAL WATER being used to GROW TOMATOES? Is that organic? I do not think so... The basic question is: IS WATER QUALITY/TYPE taken into account when considering organic CRITERIA label standards?
THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN AROUND FOR A WHILE: What's with labels that SAY 100% juice and then there is other stuff added in? I guess it's just imperative you read the INGREDIENT actual label and not the FRONT AD BOX PROCLAMATION, they are seemingly making a play on COMMUNICATION ~ it has real juice in it along with other stuff... that's not much of an AD is it?
BACTERIA-pesticides: does that jive with organic standards? Do I need to be concerned?
----The pictures and descriptions below are examples of the meals that I have been eating recently/lately. (If you want me to tell you what I want, what I really really want, then you'll have to go to : www.foodsupply.tvheaven.com )
I came to realize it was wrong for me to have been involved with EXPLOITING and horribly treating other creatures in the way I was.
I was born into a life where I was FED what I was fed as a child... then I woke up.
Would I like to have more meals and help and the friendship of others as I partake of the wonderful BOUNTY of plants which life so has provided? ~ YES, however I try to get by with what I do at this point.
These are really simple meals, in reality ~ and this is a presentation to show how lots of people can really do this(lead an ethical life), easier than they think. Eventually more products and such will come into place, sometimes you have to go back to the basics a bit. One step at a time...
